This bit offers a 6" shank with little over 8" overall. No gag. The turned back top gives the bit balance and gets the curb chain out of the way so that it does not pinch. This bit provides quick response with extra lift and more collection in the turn.
If you need more collection and rate, look at the Sc-175. It is this same shank with a rope noseband.
